WCAG 50th Anniversary Special Events

January marks the beginning of the Williamson County Art Guild’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, commemorating five decades of supporting artistic excellence and creative community in Williamson County. Founded in 1976, the Guild has been dedicated to promoting emerging, evolving, and established artists, as well as providing educational and charitable programming throughout the region. We are planning a full calendar of special events that will continue throughout 2026. We will post these events every month, so be sure to check back regularly to see what’s happening!

When you purchase a raffle ticket, your donation goes to sustaining and enhancing the operations of our successful gallery. This gallery is indeed stimulating interest in art in our community. Thank you for your donation toward this growth.

  • SCREAMING RED" was originally a "community set-up" for the Red Poppy Festival in 2023 through Georgetown Art Works as a 36"x48" canvas with a volunteered charcoal sketch by Sue Bishop.  Festival goers were invited to experience painting on a large scale format.  Unfinished by the end of the festival, Theresa continued working on completing the painting for a potential auction or raffle for the benefit of non-profit art organizations.

While you're groovin' to the 70's tunes, you can participate in our "do-it-yourself" photo booths, get a caricature painting of yourself, watch a live painting in progress, snap a selfie next to an antique VW bus, peruse the WCAG history wall, interact with 70's themed characters, and purchase a one of a kind mini painting/photo by a WCAG artist. Come dressed for the era! Prize for best costume!
