WCAG 50th Anniversary Special Events

January marks the beginning of the Williamson County Art Guild’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, commemorating five decades of supporting artistic excellence and creative community in Williamson County. Founded in 1976, the Guild has been dedicated to promoting emerging, evolving, and established artists, as well as providing educational and charitable programming throughout the region. We are planning a full calendar of special events that will continue throughout 2026. We will post these events every month, so be sure to check back regularly to see what’s happening!

January

  • Rock Gallery Artist of the Month: Carolyn Rowland

  • Carolyn Rowland began her formal art training in 1997 at University of North Texas in Denton. She was also an RN/Nurse Educator for over 30 years in the Dallas area.  Both Texas natives, she and her husband love retirement in Sun City.  Through the years she has created artwork in a variety of mediums but is currently working in watercolor and line and wash. Her pieces are colorful, light filled and often a little quirky.  Carolyn’s hope is that her art  finds the sacred in ordinary days.

Carol’s work will be shown through the month of January, so stop by whenever the gallery is open to view her beautiful art. Gallery hours are Thursday-Saturday 11-7, Sunday 1-5.

  • Raffle Artist of the Month: Erin Hanson

Come by to see this gorgeous painting and buy your raffle tickets for a chance to win. Purchase raffle tickets for $5 each or 3 for $10 during the reception or at the gallery all month.
